ND: Manager pulls Gun on Suspect who Claimed to have one

Fargo, N.D. (WDAY-TV) - It was a dangerous, yet heroic action by a local store manager today during an attempted robbery, when the manager pulled a gun out at the suspect.

A manager questioned him and Quinnett put his hands in his jacket and indicated he had a gun.

The manager then pulled out his own gun and Quinnett ran.

Perhaps, maybe, that any presumably civilized country or society that requires or allows everyone to openly carry guns to keep the peace (including in churches) has already effectively disintegrated as a culture. And is only going to get progressively worse as time goes on.

Except, of course, the United States followed exactly the opposite course.

Openly carried guns were required in the early colonies, including in churches. As western civilization and Judeo/Christian values were established over the land, the rule of law prevailed and there was less reason to openly carry.

Not allowing people, except for state actors to openly carry is a sign of the devolution of civilization back toward a feudalistic existence, where the state does not trust the common people.
