Dave Workman: 'Registration the next step' admits anit-gun Seattle P-I reader

While the Washington Legislature convenes today, the first big public turnout may be this Thursday’s “Rally for Your Rights” event, which brought an unusually candid acknowledgement about registration from an anti-gunner this morning on the Seattle P-I.com’s website from a reader responding to liberal columnist Joel Connelly’s piece on the rally.

P-I reader John Whitmore wrote early this morning, “Yes, that is the next step--registration. That way we know who owns what gun and who doesn’t. It’s a no brainer. Little steps. We will get there and hopefully reduce the abismal (sic) gun violence statistics that Amerca (sic) has compared to other 1st world nation. It won’t eliminate gun violence but hopefully save many, many lives.”

Second Amendment activists will quickly explain to Whitmore that it’s none of his business who owns what gun and who doesn’t. It is certainly none of the government’s business, unless and until someone breaks the law, one might argue.

Stupid school principal, hurl canned food .

Canned food won't stop a spray of bullets, even if you could find an "8 ounce" can, there are none!

Principal: Let students hurl canned food to fight off intruders

VALLEY, Ala. -- A middle school principal in eastern Alabama wants to stockpile cans of food such as corn and peas in classrooms so that students could hurl them as weapons in a last-resort confrontation with a school intruder.

In a letter Friday, W.F. Burns Middle School Principal Priscella Holley asked parents to have each student bring an 8-ounce canned item.
