TX: Early AM Breakin Prompts Shooting, Death

An intruder was shot and killed at a home in Cat Spring early New Year’s morning.

According to a press release issued by Sheriff Jack Brandes, an intruder entered a home on Evelyn Lane, had a confrontation with the resident and was shot. The incident occurred around 4:25 a.m. The sheriff’s office and Austin County EMS were called and the intruder was found dead at the scene.
